About Me
A little bit about me…
Hello there! My name is Loren, I have been tattooing for almost 5 years now. I grew up mainly in Calgary AB, and attended Rundle Academy for my high school years. I got accepted immediately after into ACAD (Alberta College of Art and Design), of which I completed 1 semester, and unfortunately after that, due to health reasons, I had to drop out.
After a couple of years of job hoping around as a cook, a nanny, and a retail manager, I moved out to Grande Prairie where I finally started my apprenticeship, learning from Chris Rhyason at the Sterling Skull Studio (SSS). I still feel so grateful that he took me on, I couldn’t ask for a better teacher. Not only did I gain tattoo knowledge, but I got to be a part of this shop family, and tattoo community that I didn’t even know existed.
I am currently planning my move back to Calgary, which will take place at the end of August-beginning of September, 2024. I’ve learned so much working at the SSS, and it will definitely be a bitter sweet move, but I’m excited to go back home, and to continue learning in Calgary at a new shop (still to be determined).
